Read those sections and the following scriptures about obedience: 

1 Nephi 3:7	D&C 130:20–21
1 Nephi 17:3	Abraham 3:25
D&C 82:10

Consider ways that Nephi demonstrates obedience or faith or courage. Think of ways you can follow Nephi’s example.

Consider how Nephi's response differed from his family members.  Think about whether you struggle with "murmuring" when you face trials.

Study the following scriptures about obeying God’s commandments. You may want to mark these passages.

Consider how the actions of individual family members can affect unity. What can you do as a family to be more united?
