Dana Goodyear, a staff writer for The New Yorker, published the most comprehensive article to date on the phenomenon of Japanese cell phone novels. Her article is called I Love Novels and was published in the Winter Edition of The New Yorker. Dana mentions Textnovel as an English language site that is experimenting with the genre. Dana's article is well worth reading for anyone interested in the cell phone novel phenomenon. She points out that the leading cell phone novel website in Japan gets 3.5 billion hits a month!
A related blog entry called Phoning It In includes an interview with Dana and the experiences she had in Japan while researching the article and interviewing both authors and readers.
Great work! This is all so exciting :D

The article in the New Yorker was very interesting--truly gives insight into the positive and negative that the Japanese are currently experiencing with their cell phone novels.
